Can I switch to another design at any time?

Yes, you can easily change to another design with a single click, preserving all your content. 

• Roll over the Control Panel  icon in Admin view and select "Site Properties"
• From the "Design" dropdown select the desired design. Choose a color scheme
• Press "Update"

Can I brand the design with my own logo and images?

The option for branding the design with your own logo, header graphics and copyright is available for the business account designs only. With the rest Mosaic Site Creator designs you can easily load the logo and company graphics in the content area of each page, but branding of the design itself is not available as option.

No. Mosaic Site Creator has been designed with the chief goal to allow HTML / JS non-savvy users to quickly and easily create web sites with consistent look and feel throughout all pages. There are many software packages which allow low-level HTML coding (like FrontPage, Dreamweaver, etc) and any ISP will offer hosting services that can accommodate such a site. Mosaic Site Creator is a different type of service - it is an online publishing platform which offers integrated tools for building and managing a site without any coding skills.

Currently, the HTML Snippet function allows adding a piece of HTML code to your page. You can use this option for adding a small custom script on your page. We are also working on a Template Development Kit which will give HTML developers the opportunity to easily create their own Mosaic Site Creator designs. But again, the content inside them will be managed only with the current web-based editing interface.

Can I remove the text "Powered by Mosaic Site Creator" from the design?

All Mosaic Site Creator designs include a small "Powered by Mosaic Site Creator" line in the footer and we are not planning on removing it. The Mosaic Site Creator link creates a viral effect and brings us many new customers without a significant investment of our budget for marketing campaigns. This allows us to maintain a free-of-charge service for personal accounts up to 10MB and very competitive pricing for storage and business upgrades. Only custom designs ordered by clients can be implemented without the Mosaic Site Creator credits line if explicitly requested.

I've tried switching designs and this resulted into spoiled appearance of my website
Sometimes the page you update requires one more refresh in order to see the changes. If after switching to a new design one of your pages looks like a mixture of the two designs and the content is badly formatted this may be due to the fact that the page is not properly refreshed. If you are using Internet Explorer make sure that your browser is set to check for newer versions of pages:

• Go to the browser's "Tools" menu and select "Internet Options"
• In the "General" tab, "Temporary Internet Files" section select "Settings" 
• "Check for newer versions" should be set to "Automatically"'

If the browser has been already set to "Automatically" and the change you have done resulted into a broken website, please contact Mosaic Site Creator Support for further assistance.

After switching to another design some of my content is no longer visible

Some designs feature different content areas or elements such as News, Sections, Multiple Menus, which are not available in the rest designs. So, when switching from such one design to another these specific content items may no longer be visible if the new design doesn't feature such options. They will be simply hidden. If you revert to your original design, all the content will be displayed in full again.

Can I preview how my site will appear in the new design before deciding to switch to it?

Yes. You can easily try any design in Admin view before deciding if to switch your site to it. When you select the new site design from "Site Properties" and press "Update", you'll be given an option to preview it in Admin view first, or apply the update to Normal view directly. Select "Preview".

Can I have a Mosaic Site Creator website with a custom design?

Certainly. Custom designs and features can be implemented upon request. Please, contact us with a brief description of the site you'd like to have and we'll get back to you with an estimate and more details.

 I want to design my own site design from scratch and have full control on text styles and color schemes.

With Mosaic Site Creator you can use the Blank design and shape your site as you wish, constructing your own layout and modifying text styles with HTML snippets. This, however, is an option which only more advanced users can manage turn to their advantage and produce a good looking Web site.
 

But that's really not what Mosaic Site Creator is all about. The goal of Mosaic Site Creator is to allow people without HTML or JavaScript knowledge to build elegant, integrated, feature-rich websites. Our selection of text styles is limited only to these styles which are visually cohesive with the selected design.
