Site navigation is generally used to link to the most important pages from your site. With SiteKreator you can add as many navigation items as you wish, hold and unhold, move up and down, or delete your navigation items.

How to add navigationitems:

  • To add your newnavigation item after all others:use the icon (on top of the navigation) >> Add Menu Item.

  • To addyour menu item before an already existing menu item, use the menu editicon (small square beside eachmenu ) >> Add MenuItem.

  • Now enter a namefor your page, mouseover text, and choose the page you wish to link to. If you want to create anew page and link to it, choose "CreateNew Page". If you want to link to an external URL, choose Link to >> External link and type your URL.

  • Submit andthen publish the page you're on (click the red area on top right of the page). Your newmenu item is now visible in end-user area.

If you wish to editsome navigation item:

  • Click the menu edit iconof that navigation item  .

  • Apply your changes (on item name, link or mouseover) and submit. Publish thepage so that the change takes effect in Normal View.

After you have created your navigation you might want toremove some items.

  • To remove an item, mouseover the menu item edit icon, choose Edit  >> Delete  .

  • Publish thepage.

There are several important points to note when working w/ the Navigation Menu.

  • The Navigation menu is one and the same for all pages. That is why updates on the Menu are reflected all over the site and get published from any page featuring a  menu.

  • You can't delete orhold a menu only for one or several pages. Deleting / holding the menu will take effect on all pages.

  • If you delete the wholeNavigation Menu by choosing Navigation menu Edit  >> Delete  you will need to recreate all menu items when you add a new Navigation.

  • If youhave deleted your Navigation Menu - you can add a new one by pointing to the Area icon  and selecting Add >> NavigationMenu.
